Ernest Simon Obituary
Passed away November 16,2022 peacefully at his home.
Ernie was born September 15,1948 in Colwich KS.
The son of Al and Helen Simon. He spent his youth growing up in Parsons KS.
Following graduation Ernie moved to Eudora KS where he spent the remainder of his life. He owned and operated his own excavation company for many years. Over the years Ernie was involved in many Eudora organizations including being a key member of the CPA to even his prominent role on the Eudora school board.
Ernie was a larger-than-life character who's smile and laugh were absolutely contagious. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandsons play sports. He refused to miss any games. Ernie will be missed immensely by his numerous family and friends.
The family will greet friends from 3-5pm on Sunday November 27, 2022 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 28,2022 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Eudora.
The family suggests memorials in Ernie's name to the Eudora Schools Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence Ks, 66044.
