Elsie Griffin Obituary

Not one day goes by Momma, that I don't think about you. 10 years without you has not been easy. Yo...Christian is doing good! He is a giant Mom...lol! It is baseball season now...so you know he is excited. He remembers all his times with you and will never forget his G-Ma. He will more than likely play college football and will be 17 this year! We love you Momma.

Years seem to pass so quickly but my missing you feeling never seems to fade. Someday I pray I will see you again my friend!

Lanie was a wonderful friend whose ready smile brightened the days of her co-workers. She was unfailingly kind and generous. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I love Lanie. She was a dear sister-in-law who always made me, my husband (J.S.), and our girls (Lauren and Erin) feel so welcomed when we visited Kansas. She and I had a special bond that I will truly miss. I'm glad to have known her. What a beautiful woman....inside and out. Amario and Bo, just know that we are here for you because we love you too.

Momma...It's me. Love you forever. I can't believe it, you are gone. We had the best conversations, the laughter flourished over the phone, at home...anywhere we were together. We didn't give a DAMN! Well mommy...I promise to listen to everything you've EVER said to me...ok. You made me the man I am today...Love You Momma.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Lanie. My thoughts and prayers are with Bo, Amario and her entire family. Not only did I work with Lanie for many years, but we were also neighbors for five years. She was always so sweet, kind and a lot of fun to be with. You'll be missed by many, Lanie.

My heart aches losing my dear friend who filled my heart with her infectious smile and grace.

I know god welcomed her with open arm to bring her suffering to an end.

Lanie gave so much of herself to all of us and touched so many lives while she struggled with her own hardships, many of those of which she was probably

not even aware of.

There is a place in my heart that only Lanie can fill. Although I will not now be able to lay eyes on her shining face and laugh at a Weekend Mimosa

Brunch, she will remain there as I know she is heaven and looking onto us asking us all to keep and spread the faith. I know with this I will indeed see

her again!

We are all very sad to have learned of her leaving us. I reflect as many of her friends may remember how she always said "do not let anyone or anything

steal your joy away, god is always with you".

She gave me more joy than I can truly express. For now She was one that I turned to to help restore my joy during the times when it was waning.
