Elizabeth Rogers Obituary

Memorial services for Elizabeth "Jane" Rogers, 91, Lawrence, will be held in the spring of 2021 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Jane passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Meadowlark Estates in Lawrence,

Jane was born on June 16, 1929 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Waldo B. and Lizbeth (Norris) Heywood.

She received her Bachelors of Arts from Washburn University in Topeka, KS.

She was a member of the University Woman's Club, "Jane Club, and several bridge clubs. She loved gardening and bird watching.

She loved being with family and friends and frequently hosting gatherings of both.

She married Jerry F. Rogers on August 2, 1952 in Topeka, KS. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Ann Rogers, her wife, Lisa Aguilar; son, Kyle Rogers; and three grandchildren, William Rogers, Caelan Rogers, and Sophia Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sibling, Charles W. Heywood.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jane's name to Theatre Lawrence and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
