Elizabeth Anne Burgess

Elizabeth Anne Burgess, of Lake Bluff, IL tragically passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013. She was born August 20, 1951 in Louisville, KY to Anne G. and Richard O. Burgess. Elizabeth planted her feet in places such as San Jose, CA, Goodyear, AZ, San Antonio, TX and eventually Highland Park, IL. In all the cities she lived in, she always extended her kindness and sincerity, as she embraced friendships along the way, never forgetting the love she had for her family. Her dedication to those she loved as friends and family was a true testament to her unwavering compassion and commitment. Elizabeth loved to travel abroad and lived in many locations including the love of her life: Paris. She had a love for nutrition and wholesome foods and pursued this passion by working extensively in health food and vitamin stores. "Becky" will certainly be missed as one who can only truly define the meaning of loss: a missing piece of our lives that will not be replaced. We choose to remember those moments seared in our memories of times better spent in seasons of joy and peace. Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Anne G. Burgess; sister, Nancy S. Price; niece, Christina A. Holdridge and nephews, Timothy A. Price, Stephen J. Price and Jonathon A. Price. Her legacy lives on through her grand-nieces, Lauren C. Holdridge, Violet B. Holdridge and June L. Holdridge. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard O. Burgess. A visitation wwas held Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 2 pm until time of funeral service 3 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. Her body was laid to rest on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10 am in Bonner Springs Cemetery, Bonner Springs, KS. with Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
