Eleanor Freitas McDonald

DERBY – McDonald, Eleanor Freitas, 94, formerly of Honolulu, Kalihi Valley, Hawaii, passed away April 4, 2014. She was a retired civil engineer administrative supervisor for McConnell AFB. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; son, John; grandson, Warren; 8 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Larry) Mayfield of Lawrence, KS; granddaughter, Jennifer (Michael) Boxberger, great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Carmen Boxberger; along with many nieces and nephews residing in Hawaii and the mainland. Rosary 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. both at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 E Meadowlark Rd, Derby 67037. In lieu of flowers, memorials are established with St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, The Lords Diner, 520 N Broadway St, Wichita 67214 and Amedisys Hospice of Wichita 250 W. Douglas Suite 101

It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye to my favorite Aunt, beloved Aunt Noni as she was called by my family. She was a most caring and gracious lady. My life has been the better for her being in it. My prayers and love go out to Pam, with the loss of her mother.
