Your family are in our prayers. Mrs. Davis lived next door to my grandmother Erma Stillman. I remember waving at her across the field as a young girl.

My name is Sandra Hayes Shawhan and I grew up knowing Mrs. Elaine Davis and her family. I know that my mother and Mrs. Davis were dearest of friends. I still a recipe that Mrs. Davis gave me one year for the delicious sugar cookies she would make. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing and several friends passed the information on to me. I live in Honolulu but I would visit Mrs. Davis when I came to Lawrence in the summers or holidays.
Peace be with you, Mrs. Davis and to your loving family.

We were just talking about Elaine YESTERDAY and saw her obituary today. She was a good friend of many years to the McClure family in Lawrence. She would have been interested to know that Rosemary, age 92, passed away five days before she did and that Rens (my husband) died on Feb. 14, last year, age 86. Condolences to your family. She held a special place in the hearts of our family.
