Eileen Patricia Fulton

Eileen Patricia (Shaw) Fulton, age 72, of Baldwin City, died October 15, 2013, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Ks. She was born May 15, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Hollie Housley Shaw and Marie Annette (Hoch) Shaw.

She grew up in Des Moines graduating from St. Joseph's Academy, Des Moines, with the class of 1959. She later lived in Oklahoma, Independence, Missouri, Arkansas, and West Virginia, moving to Baldwin City in 2011.

For over 23 years Eileen was a Cafeteria Manager for the Independence, Missouri School District, retiring in 1998.

She was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Baldwin City where she regularly attended the Daily Mass.

She is a preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Murphy and her husband, Larry; a brother Robert Shaw and his wife Faith; and a brother-in-law Eric Murphy.

Eileen is survived by her three sons; Charles A Fulton and his wife, Norma, of Beaufort, North Carolina, Robert A. Fulton and his wife, Jennifer, of Baldwin City, Kansas, Richard D. Fulton and his wife, Janelle, of Wamego, Kansas; three brothers, Bill Shaw and his wife, Mary, of Biloxi, Mississippi, Rick Shaw and his wife, Evie, of Des Moines, Iowa, Joe Shaw and his wife, Vicki, of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Ida Bradish and her husband, Dave, of Foreman, Arkansas, Margaret Wellman and her husband, Robert, of Colorado, Mary Murphy of Des Moines, Iowa; and nine grandchildren, Charles III, Matthew, Jesse, Brayden, Logan, Carrie, Elizabeth, Abby, and Luke.

A Funeral Mass will be said 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2013, at Annunciation Catholic Church, Baldwin City. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Baldwin City.

Mrs. Fulton will lie in state at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City from 5p.m. Sunday to the visitation hour. A rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. followed by the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
