Dear Randy and family, I was so sorry to hear of Edna`s death. We were neighbors at Hanscom Air Force Base, and our son John played with Brian. Our daughter Amy was born about the same time as Derek. I have thought of you all often through the years. My husband, John (Jerry) passed in 2010. May God comfort you during this difficult time. Carolyn Armstrong.

Dear Randy, we would like to send our most-heart felt sympathies and sincere condolences to you and your family. The old KU and IGL grapevine still works and we heard of Edna's passing. We are very sorry. We have so many fond memories of Edna and you. You were like parents to us when we lived in Lawrence and took us whippersnappers under your wings. I know Lisa and I cannot thank you enough for all Edna and you did for us. Edna was very, very special and really went out of her way to make us and especially Lisa feel at home in our new environment. We will forever cherish your hospitality, support, and friendship. Danny & Lisa

Derek, your mom always made me feel at ease. However, I remember how when we we did something not exactly right we would say what is "Edna goin think". Good times. She will be missed.
