Edith Rydell Obituary
Edith Rydell, 102, of Lawrence, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013. Edith was born on November 27, 1910 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Christine Olson. She was married to Gust Rydell on December 28, 1935. Edith is survived by her son-in-law, Lynn Krom of Lawrence; her grandchildren, David Krom, Laura Mellusi, Heather Krom, and Karen Norment; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and several dedicated friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Krom, her grandson Roger, and her husband Gust Rydell. Funeral ceremonies will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 731 SW Buchanan, Topeka. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 731 SW Buchanan, Topeka, KS 66606.
