Resident of Union City
Robert Roy Villalobos, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on Monday, April 13th. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, his bride of 42 years, Lisa; his sons Nathan & Gabriel (Jazmin), whom he was so proud of; he eagerly awaited his first Grandson due in June, but will beam with pride as his Guardian Angel in Heaven. Robert is also survived by his cherished siblings Mary Helen (Pete Cervantez), Diane (Eric Moore), Alex (Karen), & Frank; as well as a large extended family and numerous friends, all of whom he loved deeply.
His family takes comfort in knowing that his daughter, mother (Bertha), Father (Nieves), Brother (Lawrence), and Nephew (Alex), are waiting with open arms to greet him in Heaven.
A life long resident of Union City, he was raised in Old Alvarado, and graduated from James Logan High School class of 1970. For 40 years he worked as a BART Train Operator, becoming known as the legendary Bobby V. A deeply religious man, a history lover, a joker, prankster, a lover of the Beatles and old school music, an avid gardener, a true fan of all Bay Area sports teams, a man of simple means. A loving, caring, true gentleman, who was always there to support his family and friends. He loved to tinker and repair anything he could get his hands on and he always kept himself busy. He especially enjoyed his daily walk with his Golden Retriever, Tucson. For all these things, and so much more, he will remain in our heart and memories forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, April 20th at 12:00pm, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 703 "C" Street, Union City, CA 94587. There is a significant amount of construction in that area, so please plan accordingly as parking will be a problem that day.

Mild mannered was who you saw at first, but if you spent any time at all with him you would find a man who was compassionate about so many things. He was so friendly to so many.
