Dwight Curry Obituary
Dwight was born on August 26, 1932, in Great Bend, KS, the son of Marshall Walter and Eva Grace (Button) Curry.
He graduated from Great Bend High School in 1950.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Dwight was in construction in Great Bend and Lawrence. He also farmed in Barton County a good part of his life.
He married LaVerne Langrehr on August 26, 1952.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne; a son, Kevin (Teja) Curry, daughter, Myrna Gwen Schrepel, three grandchildren, Chad Schrepel, Todd Schrepel, Angela Schrepel, and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Schrepel, and Callie Schrepel.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dwight's name to a charity of the donor's choice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Dwight taught me just about everything I know when it comes to being a trim carpenter. He was damn good at what he did. He also taught me a lot about being a genuine in business and life. Whether he was right or wrong when it came to various things, he always let Laverne get the last word. I d give him a hard time about it and he d chuckle and say when you´ve been married as long as I have you always let your wife win. Hopefully we all can be as lucky as he was to be with one your love for all those years and to be able to stay at home up until the very last couple days of his life. Rest in peace, Mr. Curry.
