Dear Dave and family, I am so sorry to hear about Dottie's passing. Her kindness and service has been an inspiration and all the memories from the Union and your home still make me smile. She will live on in my memory of the kind of people that made KU great back in the day. May your wonderful memories of Dottie help with the pain of your loss.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dottie as her hairdresser for 12 years in Lawrence. She was one of the nicest lady´s I knew. I offen thought about her after moving back to Michigan in 2006. I´m sending my condolences to her family, I know she will truly be missed by all.

I was fortunate to work with Dottie at the Union as a young 20-year old student in the early 80s. She made a huge impression with her attention to detail and management of staff. To this day, I have never eaten biscuits and gravy better than the biscuits and gravy we served at the Union and I am certain Dottie had something to do with that recipe! I would often see Dottie at KU basketball games and we always had a great time catching up. She was a great friend.

I have fond memories of collaborating with her on any number of events and will always appreciate her wonderful attitude and helpful nature. She was one of the people who made the Union a wonderful place. Dottie was a wonderful person and a blessing to her family, friends, and anyone who was lucky to cross paths with her.

I had the pleasure of working with Dottie at the KU Union for many, many years. Dottie was a friend I enjoyed working and just visiting with as we crossed paths several times a week. I was always amazed at how she could host meal for 10 or 200! I know she now resides with our Lord Jesus Christ in that banquet in heaven!

I have wonderful memories of Dottie from her time at KU and in her retirement. A few of us used to have lunch together several times a year at Dottie´s lovely home. Her yeast and cinnamon rolls were legendary! And I´ll never forget her beautiful white Christmas tree with pink ornaments. Dave and Dava and the rest of her family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
