Don will be missed by those of us who cared at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, and by me, who cared so much, with Don's passing. Don was a truly great friend over the years even though we had miles between us. Don and I communicated by phone and email, and he and his wife sat down with me when both of them came to D.C. As many have said, Don will be missed.

Don was always a pleasure to work with when I was a criminal defense counsel. He would always greet me with a smile when I entered the Courthouse. He would always treat my clients with respect. I'm glad that he was able to travel the World and see people beyond Douglas County. In my mind, he will be forever in the Douglas County Courthouse handling questions, wayward clients, and lost and bewildered defense counsel like myself.

We are so sorry to hear the passing of Don. My husband and myself, both worked with Don while he was working at the DGSO and we worked at The LKPD. He was very dedicated to his job and was very well liked by all. He will be missed. Sending prayers to all the family.

Very sad to see this. Don was a wonderful person and will be missed. I worked with him years ago and enjoyed being around him. My thoughts are with the family and close friends.
