Diane Dahl Obituary

Diane May Dahl, 70, passed away in Jacksonville Florida on December 11, 2022 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

Diane was born in Lawrence, Kansas on February 14, 1952, the daughter of Maurus Hubert and Edna Virgina (Sheppard) Winter. Diane married Michael Dahl in 1970 and they lived in Rhode Island before being stationed in Jacksonville where they raised their son. After they divorced, Diane elected to stay in Florida to soak up and enjoy the warmer weather.

She worked for the IRS in Kansas City and later for Kenroy Home in Jacksonville. She had a huge passion for animals, large and small, and would never turn away a stray. Diane also enjoyed her crafts and loved to make homemade goodies for friends. She was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia.

Diane is survived by her son, Ryan of Jacksonville, and her brother Allen Winter (Susan) of Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Maurus Winter, and her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Lawrence at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane's memory to Lawrence Humane Society.
