We attended many car shows and had great times with Dennis mainly in the 90's. He was a wonderful friend and always had a big smile and hug for us whenever we saw him. Our sympathy goes out to his family.

Dennis was of course a retired Lawrence Kansas firefighter and former member of Firefighter Local 1596. I worked with Dennis for years and certainly enjoyed the days we worked together. Dennis was a fine firefighter, a quality driver engineer, and a great cook. His dry humor was a great addition to any crew he was assigned too. You will be missed but not forgotten. My condolences to all of your friends and family. RIP my brother we will take it from here. I have posted his obit on my Facebook page and I would love to share the comments on that page if any member of the family wishes to visit my page please send me a Facebook friend's request. As one of his former officers, I can assure you his former coworkers all miss working with Dennis we are all saddened by his passing. My condolences to you all

Dennis was a dear man. I met him at Brandon Woods where my father received care. He was so thoughtful and caring to me. Bless you and your family.
