I worked for Dave at Montgomery Wards as a 16 year old kid. He was my first boss and what a gentle man he was. He was a strong mentor and a very fatherly man who was patient and kind. I have considered him a friend for the past 36 years and am grateful to have known him.

His kindness and big heart was a real pleasure to be around. When ever I would run into him in Lawrence it was always like old home week. What a great guy. Many blessing to his family.

Dave was my boss in the paint and hardware departments at Mongomery Wards in 1980. It is strange; I was just visiting with another co-worker from Wards about Dave a few days ago. He was a patient, fair man as a boss. My condolences to the family.

Dear Virginia & Parsons family,

I am sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Dave will always be remembered as a gentle and caring person. He always had wonderful things to say about his family.

I always enjoyed seeing Dave when I would come to visit my father, Ed.

I hope in time the fond memories you hold close to your heart of Dave will help you through this difficult time.

With deepest sympathy,

Maria Gibson-Erazmus

Dave was my father (Ed Erazmus') roommate at Brandon Woods. He was a perfect roommate for dad. Just this past Saturday when I was there Dave was watching the Olympics with my dad. A nurse moved the curtain and blocked Dave's view from the TV. I don't think she realized Dave was watching it. I immediatly moved it back. Dave will be very missed by all of the Erazmus'. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Parsons family.
