Connie Romstedt Obituary

Connie Elaine French Romstedt, 61, of Baldwin City, KS, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 in rural Franklin County, Kansas to join her first born son, Richard Beau Michael Romstedt in the heavenly cosmos above.

?

She was born December 29, 1955 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Richard French and Marjorie (Caldwell) French. She grew up and was a near lifelong resident in Baldwin City, Kansas, graduating from Baldwin High School with the class of 1973. She also attended the University of Kansas.

?

Connie served her country proudly in the United States Air Force from September 28, 1976 to April 30, 1980, attaining the rank of Senior Airman. During her honorable service she also achieved the Outstanding Unit award and the Good Conduct Medal while stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California.

On November 26, 1984, Connie was united in marriage to Randy Romstedt at Miami, Oklahoma.?? They shared over thirty-two years of loving marriage together.

Connie was a homemaker and housewife who spent many hours actively involved with raising her family.

Her echoing laugh, friendly antics, and compassion live on in her surviving family. Her husband Randy Romstedt, Baldwin City; two children, Brodie Jay Romstedt, Manhattan, KS,

Brijette Elaine Peña, San Diego; mother, Marjorie French, Baldwin City; two sisters, Debbie Morgan, Eudora, KS, Lisa LaFountain, Baldwin City; and grandson Cash James Romstedt, Pittsburg, KS.?

She was preceded in death by her father, her son, Richard Beau Michael Romstedt; and her brother, Mike French.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, at the New Life Assembly of God Church. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to the service hour, Friday at the church. ?Inurnment will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City. ?Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association or the Feral Cat Association sent c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
