Clint was a great person, and he definitely was my favorite shoe salesman for many, many years, here and at Woolf Brothers. He loved his boys.

I find it difficult to read of someone's passing when you have not heard of them in many years. The obituary always brings back memories and for his special person they are all good. You see, I first encountered this man with a special talent at the Royal College Shoe Store where he did a beautiful job of fitting my size 8 1/2 five A foot with shoes that I not only liked but were comfortable. He carried about his customers. In this crazy world of get your shoes off the shelves and fit yourself, he is a very fond memory. I only wish there were more Ace's in this word. But times have changed. He will forever, remain special to me as I struggle to find shoes that will fit properly. Thank you, Ace, for being the caring salesman you were.

Ace was an excellent scoutmaster in that he was more concerned about education and relationships than he was about how many merit badges we earned. He and Lowell Risk before him mark a kind of 'end of an era' in Boy Scouts. He was a good man and a good mentor.

Ricky and Craig, I don't know if you remember me or my family, but maybe you do Janice as she is younger than me. But we lived on National Avenue and my parents were great friends of your parents and all of us kids played together. I always liked your dad so much. Nice and also fun. Our parents and others in the "court" had a good time together. My Dad was Jim and he passed about 7 yeas ago. Mom is Adeana and she is still here at 87 too. I am just adding this stuff to help you remember us when offering my condolences. I know it is very hard and I hope Clint (never remember Ace but I was a kid so who knows)went easily.

"Ace" was a great guy. Always fun to be with. I will miss him. So sorry. Larry Hatfield.

Ace was a dear friend and mentor during the four and a half years we worked together at the Royal, from 1962 to 1967. The friendly reminicenses we had about those times in later years were filled with fun and laughter. Ace was a fine, fine man who brought joy and happiness, coupled with maturity and responsibility, to many of his fellow human beings. May God rest his soul.
