I was very sorry to read of Cleo's death. She was an extraordinary lady. Bill and Cleo lived on Arizona Street when my parents, Les and Florence Demeritt, had to move to Lawrence following the taking of their farm for the Clinton Lake. The Woody family was so very kind and helpful to them. Ed Salisbury was a 1924 graduate of LMHS--the first graduating class from the "new" school. He also donated his father's clarinet to what is now called "Liberty Memorial Central Middle School. The Woody family is a beautiful family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Billy, Rozzie, and Neece, So sorry to hear about your mother. I remember her from the time you lived across the street and you spent time at our house while your parents worked. Mrs. Woody will be truly missed. You have my deepest sympathy and will be remembered in my prayers.

Dr. Alda (Sheverlia) Preston
