To the families of Cheryl, my deepest sympathy goes out to you.. I have known Cheryl for years, and if fact, I believe it was Rob that was born on the same day, in the same hospital as my daughter, Brandee, was born. That made a lifelong connection with our families, that will never be forgotten...1Cor 15: 1-4 is the Gospel that saves...may you all find the peace that passes all understanding, found only in the promises of God, that are true and forever, and in Jesus Christ His Son...GT

I am saddened to hear of Cheryl's passing but am so thankful for having known her. I was a member of the KU Baseball team in the early 2000s and always enjoyed seeing Cheryl at Hoglund Ballpark. I remember Cheryl meeting us at the Hog and giving us a hug before we got onto the bus to leave for road games and was impressed that she made such an effort just to send us off. She never lost her support and enthusiasm for us all. Cheryl exemplified what made playing for KU so special and I am so thankful for having had the chance to know her. Much love to the entire Wonnell family. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

All our thoughts and prayers to Micki and Rob and your families.
I will always cherish the memories of your Mom and her visits with us when she came to Branson. I always looked forward to those times. She was always full of love, laughter and stories of what you all were up to and doing in life. I so miss those days, but those memories are priceless!
I know now is a painful time, but we pray that the time will come quickly when the pain fades and her memory will make you smile or laugh and she will be in your heart laughing with you.

My condolences to Cheryl's family. I was on those KU students that got to know Cheryl when she worked the student athlete gate at Allen Fieldhouse. I always got there early for the games and would talk to Cheryl while we waited for the students to be allowed in the Fieldhouse. We had some great conversations and I always looked forward to seeing her. For decades after my time at KU I would run into Cheryl around town and she would always remember me and ask how I was doing. I know that there must be dozens if not hundreds more who have the exact same story about Cheryl. We will all miss her kindness
