It has been almost 9 years from the day you passed. As I look back and read all of these heartfelt comments, it seems like you just left us yesterday. Truly, you had so many loving friends. Years have passed, our kids have grown up, but we are always still missing a part of our family. We think of you every day and I tell the kids that was just like your dad, especially Ella's smelly feet. There will never be a time we won't think of you and miss you. Wishing you could have been a part of our lives just a little longer. But God called you home to do His work. I'm always reminded of the song by Charlie Puth, see you again. "It's been a long day without you my friend, but I will tell you all about it when I see you again". I look forward to the day I can tell you all about my long day.

Jennifer and Family,
I had the good fortune of meeting Charlie and he was even kind enough to help Jennifer and I travel in the deep Kansas snow.
I sent my wishes of peace and love to the Womack/McNolty family.

I had the pleasure of working with Charlie at Sirius Computers. He helped me set up my classes. He would say, "No, problem, Christy. No problem." He was eager to help and get things right. I loved how he talked about his family. It was obvious he loved his wife and babies. I remember how much time he spent on creating their birthday party invitations! He wanted it perfect. I am saddened by Charlie's passing and I pray for peace and strength to his family.

Jen, I was stunned to read about Charlie in today's newspaper. Although we haven't seen each other in a few years, I will always remember the friendship and kindness that you and Charlie showed me when I first arrived in Lawrence and was working for Guidant/Boston Scientific. He was a wonderful and gentle guy. My condolences to you and your family.

I'm not much for words but been thinking of you a lot Charlie. I know I wasn't as close as Lando but have very fond memories of the early 2000's just hanging out with you guys. I feel very grateful to see you in the last few weeks at the b-day party wished I'd talked to you more but felt like anything I said might have been depressing. I'm sorry Charlie you were too young it isn't fair you will remain in my and my families hearts forever. Stay strong Jen and the Womack family.

This news hit me hard. I lost touch with Charlie after college, but he was one of the most important people to me during my teenage years. I'll always remember him on the pitcher's mound at 3&2, beaning two guys in a row to put fear into the other dugout before striking out the next three. And the three years we spent "hard at work" in the video rentals section of Hy-Vee. And getting home from college only to immediately get back in the car to see him and friends at KU. No matter where we were at, the party always seemed to come to him. Rest in peace, Charlie. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Jen,
I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of Charlie. I have been thinking about you both frequently and am so sorry that we lost touch over the years. I was just going through your wedding pictures, remembering that fun filled wonderful day. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

What will I miss most? Look at Charlie's photo and you will know immediately-- that smile. Charlie came into my life when he answered my ad for a manager position in my training lab, Sirius Computer Systems. That job required not only technical skill, which Charlie had, but also the ability to work with people. How do you describe a person who can keep a hundred people and their computers all running happily? Charlie was an optimist, a problem solver. He could fix anything. What else would you expect from a guy who cared so lovingly for Jennifer, Ethan, Brady and Ella? I am sad that his cancer was not fixable. His death came six years to the day that we first met. The memory of his smile remains. May God bless the Womack family. Fondly, Carolyn Patterson
