Charles Senter Obituary

The funeral for Charles Arthur Senter, 80, Albany, Texas, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church in Albany.

Mr. Senter died Sunday morning at his home in Albany, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 8, 1937, in Harper, Kan. He was a 1955 graduate of Ottawa High School, and was senior class president. He attended Ottawa University before joining the Navy. After his military service, he joined IBM and was service manager for Northwest Texas when he retired in 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Betsy, of the home; a daughter Jennifer Senter Cartwright, Fort Worth, Texas; step-children Latham Staples, San Diego, Calif., and Meredith Robison, Albany, and a sister, Martha Gage, Lawrence, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Gertrude Senter, Ottawa, and a sister, Carolyn Shook, Wichita.

Great memories of our times at IBM and weekends @ Eagle Mountain Lake. It was said that Chuck could fix anything, and that is true. But most of all, he was a great friend and a true gentleman. Chuck, you will always be remembered .... Rest In Peace.
