Charles Castle Obituary

Charles Lee Castle

Charles Lee Castle traded his tractor for angel wings and had a joyous reunion with his Grammie and Grandson Colby on November 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Charles was born April 24, 1930 in Fairland, Oklahoma. Charles served in the Army from 1951 to 1953.

He will be remembered for his love of family, witty sense of humor and unfailing strength. We all loved him and will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Ann Castle and their five children. Waukita and Bill Potts of Cleveland, MO, Karazo and GR Milner of Village of Loch Lloyd, MO, Tonya and Lynn Barnes of Pleasant Hill, MO, Darin and Julie Castle of Perry, KS, and Shaloy and Greg Higgins of Fort Worth, TX, Grandchildren Kyle, Kindra, Renee, Katelyn and Jarid. Great granddaughter Kiyah and sister Margie Burrell of Taft, California. Charles was preceded in death by his grandson Colby.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 am, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, MO. Family suggests contributions may be made to Serenity Care Hospice. He will be missed - some of my best childhood memories include all of you and a farm in the country. I will never forget his sense of humor and the way he could pull a prank and never let you know it was him. You are in my heart and in my prayers.
