I am just now learning of Cathy´s passing. Cathy and I worked together in Title I reading at
East Heights school. I will always remember fondly how Cathy took me under her wing and supported me. She was a caring and loving person and teacher. I was privileged to call her my friend and mentor. Godspeed to her family whom she loved and spoke of often! Rest in peace, dear friend!

How sad I am to read that Cathy has passed away-my deep sympathies to all of her family. Cathy and I worked together in the Chapter 1/Title 1 reading program for many years. What an amazing teacher she was and many children in Lawrence learned to read because of her efforts. We all benefitted from her compassion and her reasoned reactions to difficult situations. I recall her sense of humor, her passion for teaching, and her style. May she rest comfortably in God´s arms. Karen Davies
