Carolyn Kay Snodgrass

Carolyn "Kay" Allen Snodgrass, 63, of Winchester, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at FW Huston Sr. Living Center. She was born on January 1, 1951 in Horton, the daughter of Ira Amsler, and Ruby Beatrice Simpson Snodgrass. She was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson County North High School, and received a CNA Certificate from Haskell Indian Nations University. Kay worked as a CNA at Valley Falls Health Care Center, and as a Daycare worker, for 14 years. She worked as a Kitchen Aide at FW Huston for one year. She was a member of the Kickapoo tribe and the American Legion auxiliary unit # 387 in Winchester. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Amy) Barnhard, Eudora, Aaron (Bridget) Snodgrass, Atchison, one daughter, Rachel Snodgrass, Lawrence, two brothers, Keith Allen, Cummins, Virgil Allen, Baldwin, five sisters, Sheila Barnhardt, Eudora, Bonnie Milloy, Winchester, Carol Barnhardt, Winchester, Connie White, Eureka, Edna Emmet, Ably, New Mexico, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, and four brothers. Cremation is planned. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday November 15, 2014 at the Barnett Family Funeral Home (1220 Walnut/Hwy 59) Oskaloosa.
