CAROLYN JELLIFF Obituary

Carolyn L. Jelliff, 68 of Gee's Mobile Home Park, Wellsboro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre.
She was born Aug. 12, 1942, in Corning, N.Y., the daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Sharp Pelham.
She received her Associates Degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1994. Carolyn was a member of the Holliday Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and enjoyed crocheting. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, making homemade Christmas presents and talking on the phone. She was very involved with her church.
Surviving are sons, Jay (Rachelle) Jelliff of Newfield, N.Y., Ed (Cheryl) Jelliff of Roaring Spring; daughters, Annette (Don) Avery of Millerton, Julie (Curt) Olinger of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; sister, Lena (Emerson) Ross of Ft. Myers, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to Carolyn's Life Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Holliday Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. The funeral will follow at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Ed Jelliff officiating. Burial will be in Butler Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Holliday Christian and Missionary Alliance Church; Through, Inc. on line @ through4life.org (a non-profit community organization to assist in daily needs founded by Ed Jelliff); or to Revamped, % Bethany Jones, 50 Union St., Uniontown, Pa. 15401 (an inner city Teen Outreach started by Carolyn's granddaughter). Dear Jelliff family. Our family would like to extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mom. We just heard of your loss today and want you to know that we thought a lot of your Mom and certainly enjoyed our visits with her through out the years. She always had a smile and certainly had a way of making us laugh. Please except our thoughts and prayers in love. To the Jelliff family sorry to hear about your mom. She was a very caring person she did so much for our grandparents and mom when they we alive and even after mom passed away she still stay in touch with me to check on us. We will always be grateful for what she has done for the family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
