Brenda Bohannan Obituary

Brenda Carol Bohannan, 57, of Lecompton, Kansas, died September 3, 2023 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born June 3, 1966 at Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of James Robert and Georgia Mae Huble Stansell. She graduated from Perry Lecompton High School in 1984 and went on to earn an associates degree. She worked as a respiratory therapist at Saint Francis Hospital in Topeka for six years and at LMH for three years. She operated a daycare for 13 years out of her own home and then worked for Lincare, performing medical billing. She worked various positions at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for the last seven years. Brenda was a member of the Lecompton United Methodist Church.

 She married Gary Lee Bohannan, January 2, 1994 at Perry, Kansas. He preceded her in death in July 2015. Survivors include three sons, Lance, Grantville, Kansas, Travis, Overland Park and Tanner, Lecompton, one daughter, Lindsay, Overland Park, two brothers, Jamie and wife Cindy Stansell, Lecompton, Wayne and his wife Lisa Stansell of Meriden and five grandchildren.

 Cremation is planned.  The family will hold a memorial service at 5:00PM Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Lecompton United Methodist Church.
