Bradley Carlson Obituary

Bradley A. Carlson, age 56, resident of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2021. Brad was born on July 25, 1965, in Greeley, Colorado to Robert and Linda Carlson. He grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas.

Growing up, Brad was involved in Boy Scouts, 4-H, and activities with friends and family. Brad enjoyed playing baseball, particularly when his father was his coach. He excelled at wrestling and cross country at LHS. While attending KU, Brad valued the lifelong friendships he made in his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Following graduation, Brad worked in upper management at Rent-A-Center for many years. Brad left to follow his passion in sales and went into real estate. He excelled in his work as a top-producing Realtor at Gary Greene, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate.

Brad was an avid sports fan and fireworks enthusiast. He also loved taking his dog to the park and playing golf. He especially enjoyed his roles as a Marshall at The Woodlands Country Club golf course and a Starter for the PGA Senior Tour.

His greatest joy was raising two daughters with his wife, Heather. He cherished coaching and supporting his girls throughout their many activities and sports.

Brad was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Carlson, and will be laid to rest near her in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas. Brad is survived by his wife, Heather (The Woodlands, Texas); two daughters, Haley Carlson (Conroe, Texas) and Sydney Carlson (Houston, Texas); father, Bob Carlson (Lawrence, Kansas); sisters, Debbie Girard (Lawrence, KS) and Dianna Dykes (Lawrence, KS); and brother, Jeff Carlson (Olathe, Kansas).

Brad, we will always miss your larger than life, mischievous, giving personality that will never be forgotten. You will live always in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 18 at 11:30 am at the First United Methodist West Campus Church, 867 US-40, Lawrence, KS. Masks will be required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brad's honor to the American Diabetes Association.

The world lost a great guy. Brad had a great sense of humor and a wonderful family. Although I knew him in his younger years he was kind, generous and a great athlete. He always had a smile for everyone and I know he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers to your family.
