Bill was born on July 2nd, 1955 in Lawrence and spent his childhood there. He graduated from Lawrence High School and attended the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the KU Men's Golf team and the Sigma Chi fraternity. He pursued and achieved his dream of becoming a PGA Professional, followed by a career in the restaurant and real estate industries.

Bill married Michelle McCubbin in 1987, with whom he shared the joy of three sons. He lived his life by the principles he learned as a gentleman of the game of golf, and he considered his family and golf to be his true loves and passions.

Bill is survived by his mother, Julie (Lawrence, KS); three sons, Wilson (26; Seattle, WA), Weston (25; Wichita, KS), and Hudson (19; Lawrence, KS); three siblings, Al Hack (wife Sue; Lawrence, KS), Cary Pandzik (husband Mike; Lenexa, KS), and Chris Hack (wife Dana; Greenville, SC); and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Al "Big Al" Hack.

The family will hold a celebration of Bill's life this Friday, January 21st, from 2 – 4 pm at Lawrence Country Club. Please wear casual or golf attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill's memory to Music Theatre Kansas City or to junior golf initiatives in the Lawrence area and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Great guy-you will be missed

I remember when we were in grade school and I spent the night at Bill's, he had a Felix the Cat clock where the eyeballs and tail moved back and forth, it freaked me out but Bill said he couldn't go to sleep without it. Once I got into the rhythm of the noise it made, I feel right asleep. Bill was a good and honest person and I'm sure will be missed by many.
