Bernie was born October 26, 1943, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Bernard Sr. and Bernice (Goff) Kennedy.
Bernie is survived by his daughters, Kelli Kennedy, Amy (Logan) Hastings, one granddaughter, Ashton Hastings, and Bernie's life partner, Sandee Kennedy.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carolyn (John) Kirby, and brother, Rory Kennedy Sr.
The family suggests memorials in Bernie's name to The American Heart Association and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
