Barbara Swann Obituary

Barbara Hays Swann, beloved daughter, mother and grandmother passed away February 7, 2012. Born August 30, 1933 in Grandview, Missouri, Barbara graduated high school in LaCygne, Kansas. She spent most of her adult life in Shawnee, Kansas. She is survived by her mother, Iva Hays of Paola, KS, three children; Craig Swann and his wife Carolyn of Keller, TX, Richard Swann and his wife Kim of Granbury, TX and Paula Swann and fiance Tim Mackey of McKinney, TX, five grandchildren; Sarah Lessman and husband Darrell of McKinney, TX, Deborah Swann and husband Chris Beetch of Columbus, NE, Jeffrey Swann and wife Gretchen of Mason, OH, Danielle and Samantha Golway of McKinney, TX and two great grandsons, Gavin Lessman and Jackson Beetch. A memorial service was held at 1:30 PM Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home LaCygne chapel. Visitation was from 12:00 PM to service time at the Schneider Funeral Home. Inurnment was in the Oak Lawn Cemetery LaCygne, Kansas. The family suggests contributions to the North Point Skilled Nursing Home in Paola, Kansas left in C/O Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 304 LaCygne, Kansas 66040.

I just saw Aunt Iva today April 20 2012 to wish Happy Birthday as I run Oz Marathon tomorrow. Just learned of Barbara's passing. So sorry that I missed the funeral. She and your family have been so good to my family.
