Barbara Rogge Obituary
Barbara Joanne Rogge, 59, of Overland Park, KS passed away April 3, 2014. A funeral service will be held at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Barbara was born in Massillon, Ohio on October 4, 1954, the daughter of Phylas & Jack Lose.
She attended Shawnee Mission West High School and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Textile Design. Her carefree spirit and unmatched sense of humor caught the eye of Richard Rogge, who was smitten with her from day one. They were married on September 9, 1978 and have two children, Ali and Stephen.
Barbara will be remembered for her devotion to family, quick wit, sensitivity to others, gift of gab, and love of photography, art, and gardening.
Her father precedes her in death. She is survived by her husband, mother, daughter, son, three sisters, three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and twelve nieces & nephews who love her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to help cover funeral expenses payable to the Richard Rogge Donation Account in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary at 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS, 66044.

I knew Barb when we were both in textile design at KU in the 70s. I loved her sense of humor! Barb was always someone who was fun to see and visit with. My sincerest condolences to all. I know she will be deeply missed.
