Alice Ann Randel, 82, of Baldwin City, KS died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home.

She was born November 8, 1937 in Clifton, KS the daughter of Abraham Charbonneau and Wilma (Peterson) Charbonneau. She moved in her youth, with her family, to Baldwin City, KS. She graduated from Baldwin High School with the class of 1956.

Alice was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Baldwin City and Lawrence Kansas for nearly 42 years. Having a smile that could light up a city, Alice loved her work and interacting with others who grew up in Kansas and from around the world. Alice dedicated her life to the service to others and was an active member in the community. She was always actively helping others in their time of need. She was compassionate with a very kind and generous heart, always rooting for the underdog to beat the odds. Starting each of her mornings with a hot cup of coffee, reading several newspapers, she loved cooking for her family and spending quality time with them. She loved music and singing, and road trips traveling to see her children and their families, even when they were out of the country.

Alice was a member of the Baldwin City Church of Christ, a member of the Post #228 American Legion Auxiliary, Palmyra Township Board, National Association of Letter Carriers, and the Baldwin City Red Hat Society. She also spent many years volunteering for the Kansas America Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program in Lawrence, KS.

On April 7, 1957 Alice was united in marriage to Montie Duane Randel in Baldwin City, KS. They shared sixty-two years of marriage until Montie passed away March 17, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Loretta Lynn Porter; and a brother, Larry Charbonneau.
