Alice Fox Obituary
Alice Mae Heisey Fox, 90, of Jersey Shore passed away, Saturday evening, March 16, 2013 at her residence.
She was born March 8, 1923 at Hyner, the 7th child of Christian Irving and Mary Ziegler Heisey.
She had worked at the Jersey Shore Hospital from 1948 to 1985 retiring after having worked as a head nurse of the obstetrics Dept.
She married to the late Fred Andrew Fox in 1951.
Alice was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Jersey Shore.
Surviving family members include her children, Mary Alice Fox (Michael) Franko of Gilbert and Dr. Fred Andrew (Ruth) Fox, Jr. of Manhattan, KS; one sister, Harriet Heisey and sister-in-law, Doris Heisey both of Jersey Shore; 5 grandchildren, Gabriel (Alanna) Franko, Hannah (Hide) Inoue-Franko, F. Drew Fox, III, Matthew Fox and Lena Fox; 2 great grandchildren, Jackson and Elizabeth Rose Franko.
Alice's Life Celebration memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. Friends and relatives may call at the church from 10-11am.
Her family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions can be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or the Jersey Shore Library, 110 Oliver St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home" 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
