Aimee Ziegler Obituary

Mr. Polson, I am sorry for you and your family's loss. I know Aimee was very special to you, I can't imagine the emotions you must be going through. We are praying for you.

Mrs. Ziegler was my role model since i was in 5th grade she helped me with so much she went beyond what she could for her students and making such a great impact.

Coach, I have so many memories with you. Your smile will always be remembered, it was so welcoming. I am proud to have been coached by you. You taught me so much on and off the court. You were always their for me when i needed you in High School. Your an amazing person inside and out. You will be forever remembered by your good deeds. The times we shared ill hold in my heart forever. You always knew how to make me see things in a different perspective. You helped me grow and get through some rough times in my life. FreeState will never be the same without you. You will be missed.

Mrs. Z was an awesome coach and a hard worker. She had so much patience and understanding for everyone. I loved helping her out as a senior with her sophmore post players. She will not be forgotten.

I will never forget mrs. Ziegler. She helped me out soo much through out my highschool years. She was such an inspiration to me and many other students. She will be greatly missed!

I knew Aimee as the school counselor to my two Free state students, but also I was able to take care of her after the birth of Elliot. Lastly, we attend the same mass at St. John's. She will be dearly mised. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My grandaughter Maryann had her for a WRAP councelor and said she was the best and will be missed dearly by her and many others. May God be with her and her family, during this difficult time

Even though I didn't personally know Aimee, I know her husband Aaron Polson and he always spoke so wonderfully of her. I wish I had the oppertunity to meet her. I would have loved her. I want to give my condolences to the family. Its never easy to loose a loved one. I am so sorry.

I am still in shock after hearing about this tragic death. Words cannot describe how badly i want to wake up from this nightmare and go to school to see my smiling counselor.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family. May they find peace in this tragic time.

And a small message to her little boys: She loves you. Every time I was in her office we always spoke of you. I always told her how she was blessed with beautiful children.

She was a super scholarship hall director when I lived at Douthart, and I enjoyed seeing her just a couple months ago after so many years. The world has lost a warm, bubbly woman. My thoughts are with her family and the students whose lives she has touched.

I am so saddened by this news. She was an amazing person who did so much good in the community. She will be mourned and missed.

I worked with Aimee at Wakarusa Valley and looked forward to seeing her everyday. She was always so much fun and funny. She seemed to take in life with a sense of humor.

I did not know Aimee for long, but she touched my life and my son's life in a wonderfully positive way. The news of her passing is tragic. May God bless her loved ones at this challenging time.

I can't believe she is gone. What a wonderful person. She was a terrific mentor to me when I was at Free State (grad. 2000). She will be greatly missed. My prayers are with her family and students.

The news of Coach Ziegler's death hurt. She was an amazing person. I was lucky to have her coach me in both basketball and soccer throughout high school. She was always patient, kind, and had a positive attitude about everything. I feel fortunate to have someone like her help me through my high school years. She not only taught me about sports, but she taught me how to be a good person, as well. She is greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

A beautiful, sweet soul, I knew only too briefly. Your light will be missed by many.

Aimee you will be missed by many at FSHS always up beat and positive. i could be haveing a bad day and then there you were with a smile and a "hi how are you" so many of us will miss you you were a wonderfull councler and enjoyed the almost three years that i had and now some of us are redy to graduat but it wont be the same with out you you were our role modle and we look up to you and all you have done for us your students and the school

I just would like to say even though I didn't know her that my heart,thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Aimee Ziegler. She is looking down from the Heavenly Clouds smiling down on all her love ones. She will be truly missed by all who loved her and knew her.

Aimee coached my daughter, Lauren, in basketball when Lauren was a freshman at FSHS. Aimee was always such a positive person. I had just visited with her the other day at Ace hardware, and she was talking about putting her garden in with her sons. My thoughts and prayers are with her family in this truly difficult time.

I did not know Aimee personally but my sister-in-law was a close friend of Aimee's. I wanted to send my deepest sympathies to the family and friends. I will continue to pray for all of you and hope you find peace in this sad time.

I worked with Aimee several years ago at Free State High. She was one of the most sweetest, loving, caring, funny, & down to earth person I had ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with her husband, her boys, & her entire family. She will be missed and remembered by many.

My daughter attends FreeState and has spoken very highly of Mrs, Ziegler. She will be a great loss to our school and community.

Aimee we will miss you dearly at Free State!

Many of us who attended Free State had the pleasure of knowing 'Ziggy'/'Coach Z'... whether it was to raid her M&M jar, for guidance with personal problems, to vent about frustrations, to get a different perspective on life, and for community projects with Free State and throughout Lawrence. Aimee was an inspiration and I can say she was a driving force in me pursuing Social Work as a career. Thank you for all of the support both professionally and personally. May you rest peacefully and thoughts and prayers are with your family.
