Tommie Holland Obituary

Ms. Tommie Louise Holland, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Solaris Health Care and Rehab Center in Lake City, FL following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Thomas Hinton and Clara Roberson Steele. Ms. Tommie had made Lake City her home for the past forty-seven years after coming here from Vero Beach, FL. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse for Dr. McRae. She was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church for many years and a member of the BPW, American Legion, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and she participated many years with her children in the Boy Scouts of America, and loved to go see the light houses on the beach.
Ms. Tommie survives by her three sons Jack Wayne Robinson, Jr., Lake City, FL, Thomas Lee Robinson (Jeff), Atlanta, GA., Joel Keith "Beany" Robinson, Lake City, FL; and one daughter Cara Evone Disbrow (Robbie) Wellborn, FL. six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers family asked that donations be made to Central Hill Baptist Church, 10270 Central Hill Rd, Windsor, VA 23487. Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025. Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com .
