Janet Lamp Obituary

Janet LeeAnn Lamp

July 27, 1936 - January 20, 2026

Janet Lamp passed away at the Mandarin Independence House in Lincoln, Neb. on January 20, 2026.

Janet was born in Wakefield, Neb. to Henry and Martha Lueth, graduated from Emerson High School, and lived in Wayne until retiring to Lincoln with her husband, Leon Lamp. Janet and Leon celebrated 70 years of married life together. Leon passed away June 3, 2024.

She was dedicated to loving and caring for her family. That was her mission in life and she did it well! For many years, Janet enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends. Then in later years, she enjoyed watching the world from her window.

Janet is survived by children: Emilie Cook, Jeff Lamp (Linda Dennis); grandchildren: Jordan Lamp (Mindy Rabbe), Shayna Cook, Jeremy Cook (Dakota+); great-grandson: Jace Lamp.

A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, Neb. at a later date.

The family wishes to acknowledge the care and compassion that Janet received from the staff at the Mandarin Independence House.

Mom and Dad both had heart conditions in their later years; please send any memorials to Bryan Foundation (Heart) in Lincoln, Neb.
