Jeannette Craig Obituary

Jeannette Beisley Craig, 93, of Greenwood, SC passed peacefully with two of her daughters by her side on March 16th. She was born in Columbia, SC. She was the wife of the Reverend Dr. Julian Frippe (Buddy) Craig, Jr. who preceded her in death. Surviving are her three daughters and sons-in-law: Tina and Jimmy Corley, Juli and Joe Doub, and Jeannette and Marvin Blackburn. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, with one on the way, and a niece and nephew, Celia and Bill Anderson.

Mrs. Craig was a 1948 graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia, SC and a 1952 graduate of The University of South Carolina where she excelled. She was the recipient of The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Medallion Award. She had many cherished friends while at Carolina and stayed in touch with them for many years. She was a dedicated wife and mother and supported Buddy's ministry and was active in the churches he served throughout his career. She was active in her daughters' lives and supported all their activities enthusiastically and served as a Girl Scout leader. She helped establish HELP of Summerville. Jeannette loved flowers and often created beautiful arrangements for special occasions.

Mrs. Craig worked for the Aiken County School system and for the Presbyterian Home of SC in Summerville.

Jeannette Beisley Craig lived a life dedicated to God and family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Wesley Commons in Asbury Hall with Rev. Kelvin Henson officiating.
