Anna Elizabeth Ellis, age 70, of Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025. She was born on June 9, 1954, in Pensacola, Florida.
Anna owned and operated a successful cleaning service for 25 years before retiring. On August 9, 1979, she married John Edwin Ellis, and together they built a life full of love and cherished memories.
Anna had a kind and compassionate spirit, which extended not only to her family but also to animals in need. She took great joy in caring for homeless animals and was devoted to her beloved pets, Coco, a bird she adored for 20 years, and Shelly Ann, her cherished kitten.
Anna enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: solving crossword puzzles, crocheting, fishing, cooking, swimming, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Kristin Ellis and her former spouse Ernest Smith of Midland, Texas; Jennifer Ellis and her husband Greg Knapp of Colorado City, Texas; and Jessica Fields and her husband Ross Fields of Abbeville, Georgia. She also leaves behind her brothers Ricky and Eddy Windham of Florida, and her sister Sandra Shepheard and her husband Robert Kleiber of Florida. Anna was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie Mae Shaffer and Charles Farrell Windham; her siblings Sharron, Mary-Ann, and Charles Jr.; and her beloved husband, John Edwin Ellis.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Ellis Funeral Home at 4616 North Big Spring Street, Midland, TX
