Jack R. McNeish

July 11, 1932 - September 27, 2024

NEW BEDFORD, MA - Dr. Jack Roy McNeish, 92, of New Bedford, MA, formerly of Nokomis, FL, and Hamden, CT, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Paula Robert; son, McNeish, in 2016; and his son, Scott Douglas McNeish, in 2017. He is survived by his daughter, and son-in-law, Cynthia, and James Cammarata; his grandchildren, Allison, Constance (husband, Moustafa;) and Haley; and his great-grandchildren, Zaid, and Faris.

Born on July 11, 1932, Jack was raised on a farm in Kanawha, IA. A gifted athlete, he achieved statewide recognition when his home run for secured the Iowa Baseball State Championship, in 1948. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1957, Jack served as a Captain in the U.S. Army as a Dental Officer, where he met his wife, Paula. He went on to practice Pediatric Dentistry in Hamden, CT, where he and Paula raised their family.

Jack was a talented sailor. He enjoyed racing sailboats with the New Haven Yacht Club, where he served as Commodore, and ice boating with the Connecticut Ice Yacht Club. In his later years, he enjoyed cruising with friends from the Venice Yacht Club.

At Jacks request, no formal services will be held.
