Shirley Winke Obituary

Janesville, WI - Shirley Marie Gramlich Winke, age 89, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. She was born on May 6, 1936, in Waukon, Iowa at the home of her grandmother to Cora Gramlich. She was a graduate of Waukon High School. She married the love of her life, Virgil Winke on June 3, 1956, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Waukon. They moved to Janesville in 1957 where she was employed by Parker Pen (Gillette) for over 38 years.

Shirley was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she served on several committees. She enjoyed going on bus trips with friends, planting flowers in her yard, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren that she cherished. She also enjoyed occasional trips to casinos.

Shirley is survived by her children: Mark (Sonia) Winke, David (Linda) Winke, and Bonnie (Darrel) Teubert; her grandchildren: Eric (Veronica) Woods, Nikolaus (Julie) Winke, Alyss (Nick) Brook, Bridget (Tim) Babock, Correy Winke, Tiffany Teubert, and Adam Teubert; great-grandchildren: Samara Woods, Teigean Winke, Haleigh and Hunter Winke, Serenity and Noah Seekings, Cody and Joshua Reynolds, Makenzi and Drew Babcock; siblings: Bernadine (Butch) Fredrick, Cathy (Don) Gatton, Becky (Terry) Helmer, Jerome Jostand, Robert (Deb) Jostand, and Richard (Deb) Jostand; and in laws: Darwin (Donna) Winke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, her brother, Casper and sister, Betty.

Funeral service for Shirley will be Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Mark Schewe officiating. Visitation will be at CHURCH at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to Peace Lutheran Church.
