Robert Arneson Obituary
A proud United States Marine, Bob served on active duty during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. After three years of service, he returned home and partnered with his brother Rodney to start a milk hauling business. He hauled milk for 60 years. He was known for his strong work ethic and quiet generosity. Above all, Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who had a deep faith and cherished his church family at Bible Baptist Church of Utica as well.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his sister, Phyllis; his brother, Kenneth; his son in law, John Arndt; and grandson, Aaron Arndt.
Bob is survived by his four children: Pam (Dave) Kelm of Janesville, Julie (Jeff) Voss of Janesville, Mark (Shelley) Arneson of Janesville, and Amy (Don) Templeton of Brooklyn; six grandchildren: Nate Arndt of Janesville, Matt (Katie) Purkapile of Footville, Andy Templeton of Evansville, Emily (Travis) Schnabel of Evansville, Callie (James) Amera of Stoughton, and Carlyn Arneson of Janesville; seven great-grandchildren: Callen, Colton, and Cashton Purkapile, Maxine Schnabel, and Ellena, Emmery, and Everlee Amera; and his brothers: Philip (Doris) Arneson of Milton, Rodney (Dorothy) Arneson of Janesville, and Lee (Mary) Arneson of Panama City Beach, FL.
A Private family funeral service will be held at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME. Burial with military honors to follow will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Evansville, WI.
