Maurine Plautz Obituary

Milton, WI - Maurine R. Plautz, age 96, of Edgerton, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Edgerton Care Center. She was born in Beloit on December 14, 1929, the daughter of Hugh and Vanetta (Hook) Mc Quade. She married Rollie "Puggy" Plautz on April 21, 1951, in Beloit and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2006. Maurine had worked for Freman Shoe Corp, Beloit, but most of her life she stayed home and raised her family. She loved being a mother and a grandmother. She was also a very talented pianist. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton, and its St. Rose Society.

She is survived by her children: Donald (Meredith Eaton) Plautz of Janesville, Richard (Nancy) Plautz of Milton, Philip (JoAnn) Plautz of Bowling Green, KY, and Linda Huebner of Edgerton; ; daughter-in-law, Christy Plautz of Rhinelander/ Fort Meyers, FL; 7 grandchildren: Jessi Neitzel, Kyle (Brianna) Plautz, Anna (Andrew) Bean, Marah (Jesse) Gildersleeve, Niles Plautz, James (Charlene) Plautz, and Jana (Ryan) Plautz; 7 great grandchildren: Brayson, Parker, Lennox, Tenley, Chase, Delaney, and Wilder Rose; and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rollie; son, Jim "Plugger" Plautz; and brother, Warren (Evie) McQuade.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Edgerton. Father Randy Budnar will preside and burial will follow at Fassett Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
