MarySue Mabie Obituary

Orfordville, WI - MarySue Mabie, age 87, of Orfordville, passed away on March 26, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1938, in Eau Claire County, WI, to the late Selmer and Evelyn (Phillips) Peterson and was a graduate of Gilmanton High School. She married Richard Mabie on February 23, 1957, at Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton, and had 69 years of cherished memories together.

MarySue was an avid reader who loved her coffee. She was devoted to her family, with her kids and grandkids being her pride and joy. She was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hanover, WI.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Kathlyn (Lee) Schroeder of Orfordville; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Oswald of Beloit, Rick Schroeder of Madison, and Kaitlyn Mabie of Plymouth, WI; her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Treyton, Taytum Oswald, and Paisley Mabie; her sister-in-law, Nancy Schmidt; brother-in-law, Denis Mabie; and many other nieces and nephews. MarySue was preceded in death by her two daughters, Gina Mabie-Brandenburg and Diana L. Mabie.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Hanover, with Rev. Guy Vogel officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 12:00pm until the time of service at church. Burial will follow at Plymouth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beloit Regional Hospice.
