Lillian Hamilton Obituary

Janesville, WI - Lillian Joyce Hamilton, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Beloit, Wisconsin after bravely living with dementia for many years. She was born on May 31, 1940 in Boscobel, Wisconsin, the beloved daughter of Samuel and Jean (Smith) Walker.

Lillian will be remembered for her deep passion for antiques, frequently spending countless joyful hours exploring local shops and Goodwill stores in search of hidden treasures. She had a special gift for seeing beauty and history in the simplest of items. She found comfort and happiness in photography, capturing moments both big and small, and was often found with a good book in hand, happily lost in its pages. She also had a fondness for puzzles and delighted in watching her favorite mystery programs. Above all else, Lillian's greatest joy in life was her family. She held them close to her heart and found her deepest sense of purpose in the love she gave and received.

Lillian is survived by her sons, Steve (Debbie) Lathrop of Green Valley, Arizona and Eric (Kim) Lathrop of Wentzville, Missouri; Son-in-law, Glen Phillips of Janesville, Wisconsin; Grandchildren: Korby Lathrop of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Jacob (Nicole) Lathrop of Edgerton, Wisconsin, Caitlin Gotoski of Oregon, Wisconsin, and Lily Lathrop of Wentzville, Missouri; Great Grandchildren: Royal, Will, Max, Ella, and Reese; Brothers, Gary (Karen) Walker of Boscobel, Wisconsin, and Larry (Joy) Walker of Gays Mills, Wisconsin; Sisters: Sandra Collins of Berman, Arkansas, Diane (Michael) Strang of Boscobel, Wisconsin, Vicki (Kenneth) Potter of West Bend, Wisconsin, Peggy (Merlin) Fritz of Boscobel Wisconsin, and Tammy (Terry) Watters of Boscobel Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Jean (Smith) Walker; daughter, Cheryl Phillips; sisters, Barbara Litwiller and Linda Jenson; brothers-in-law: Michael Jensen, Howard Collins, and Keith Litwiller.
