LeRoy Weber Obituary

Janesville, WI - LeRoy R. Weber, age 83, passed away March 25, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was born in Kendall, WI, on April 7, 1942, to the late Ervin and Eleanor A (Hahn) Weber. He married the love of his life, Marlene Skailand, on June 3, 1961, in Elroy, WI, LeRoy was a veteran serving in the National Guard and the Army 32nd Division for 6 years. He later went on to work at General Motors, retiring as a Millwright after 28 years. LeRoy also taught welding at Blackhawk Technical College for years.

LeRoy enjoyed many outdoor activities, such as hunting. He hunted duck, turkey, deer, and geese. He also was an avid fisherman, who deeply supported the organization Fishing Has No Boundaries. When he wasn't hunting, he took pleasure in farming at his land in New Lisbon. LeRoy was a man of many talents and played Santa Claus for 48 years on Christmas Eve. He would be out from 10 AM till midnight, visiting dozens of families creating memories for years to come. A man of faith, he was a member at St. John Lutheran Church, and made Easter breakfast at church for all attending for nearly 10 years. He was a member at the UAW Local 95.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; their children: Rhonda (Mark) Johnson of Janesville, Ronald (Terri Cook) Weber of Barnett, MO, Becky Weber of Janesville, and Randy (Heidi) Weber of Stoughton; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister Lois Higginbotham. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Charles, Norm, Lloyd, and Don.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, where a visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7 (LeRoy's birthday) at Elroy City Cemetery.
