Duane Hawkinson Obituary

Duane "Dewey" Hawkinson Janesville, WI - It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Duane "Dewey" Hawkinson, born June 5, 1948, to Henry "Hank" Hawkinson and Marie Hawkinson in LaFarge, WI.

Dewey graduated from Parkview High School in Orfordville, WI. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Vietnam Veteran.

He spent many years working at DeVere Chemical in Janesville as a plant manager, forming lifelong friendships with coworkers along the way.

In 1986, Dewey married his soulmate, Jeanne, and together they shared over 40 years of love, laughter, and adventures across the United States and Mexico.

Dewey was known for his love of good food and cherished every meal shared with family or friends. He was a loyal fan of the Brewers and the Raiders and could often be found enjoying microwave popcorn while watching a game.

Above all, Dewey loved his family. His wife, siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild were the center of his world.

Dewey is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Marie, his son Marc, his brother Darwin (Julie), his sister Debbie (Marty), and his beloved bulldog Walter.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne; siblings Dave (Diana), Diane, and Dan (Nancy); sister-in-law Joyce Booth; sister-in-law Jackie (Greg) Leckwee; son Eric (Lindy); grandchildren Avery, Melanie, Danielle, Wyatt, and Colton; great-grandchild Rosie; and many nieces and nephews.

Dewey's presence, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Per Duane's request, no funeral service or memorial will be held
