Delores Tainter Obituary

Janesville, WI - Delores A. Tainter, age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. She was born on August 18, 1929, in Ontario, WI, the daughter of Dewey and Effie Marie (Revels) Cox. On February 8, 1963, she married Arland D. Tainter at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Janesville.

Delores worked at Gibbs, Parker Pen, and then retired from SSI Technologies. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Women of the Moose. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling. More recently enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and in her free time, it would not be uncommon to find her watching game shows on television.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Korban; special friends, Anna Johnson and Darlene Adams; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers: Norman Cox, Durward Cox, and Elton Cox; and sister, Lorraine Powers.

Delores' family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends at St. Peter's Lutheran Church for cards and wonderful food that they gave her over the years.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
