Linda Joyce Jensen, aged 82, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, in Wasilla, Alaska. Born on August 14, 1942, Linda was renowned for her strong, compassionate, and artistic personality. She was outspoken and never shied away from expressing herself, which made her a memorable figure in her community.
Linda led an adventurous life, An avid fisher, Linda also possessed a talent for arts and crafts, often found painting beautiful artwork or creating intricate beaded jewelry. Her skills extended to the kitchen, where she excelled in canning a variety of goods, much to the delight of her family and friends. Locally celebrated as the "Bingo Queen," she was a familiar and beloved face at the bingo halls.
She is survived by her son, Paul Jensen, nine grandchildren, Steven, Travis, Kyle, Laryssa, Jonathan, Teresa, Justin, Jonas, and Justina as well as many great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Paul LePors; her sister, Beverly Hermans; her husband, Richard Jensen; and her children, Charles Jensen and Rhonda Roberts. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9365 in Wasilla, Ak to honor Linda's vibrant spirit and enduring legacy. Her life touched many within and beyond her community and she will be greatly missed by all.
