Robert George Mohrhauser

Robert G Mohrhauser passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2025 in Green Valley, AZ with his wife & children by his side.

Bob was born January 7, 1942, in Danbury, Iowa to Albert and Adeline (Knobbe) Mohrhauser. He graduated from Danbury High School and went on to work for Western Electric and AT&T for his entire career, until he retired early at the age of 47. He was united in marriage to Faye Mohrhauser for just short of 40 years. He was a loving husband and father, and especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. Bob and Faye moved to Arizona in 2017. He loved living in Arizona and enjoyed walking in Desert Meadows Park and Madera Canyon. Bob stayed active after retirement with various mini careers including: School bus driver, EMT, City Councilman and Mayor. He enjoyed working outside and puttering in his garage. Bob was a Friend of Bill W. for over 42 years and mentored many others during this time.

Bob is survived by his wife, Faye; his children, Joe (Kaitlyn) Mohrhauser of Sioux City, IA, Kristina (Darren) Smiley of Mexico, MO, and Rachel (Mike) O'Malley of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Anna Mohrhauser, Nathan (Eden) Mohrhauser, Jared (Molly) Smiley, Allison (Connor Hoffman) Smiley, Erika Smiley, Lauren O'Malley, Meghan (Karl) Schwarzkopf, Sarah O'Malley, and Mackenzie Kelly; siblings Mae Barron of Sioux City, IA, Laura Danaher of Denver, CO, and Thomas (Donna) Mohrhauser of Mapleton, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Rosie Wenger, Jim Mohrhauser and Bill Mohrhauser.

A celebration of life will be planned in Danbury at a later date.
